Things to consider when choosing a Performance Exhaust :-
Cat Back is the section of the exhaust system that runs from the outlet of the catalytic converter to the exhaust tips. A cat back exhaust system usually includes the pipe from the converter to the muffler, the muffler, and the exhaust tips.Cat-back exhaust systems use larger diameter pipe than the stock system. Good systems will have mandrel-bent turns that allow the exhaust gases to exit with as little back pressure as possible. These exhaust systems comes with all parts to replace your exsisting exhaust.
Sports Cat/Decat is basically a deleted catalytic converter. A catalyst is a key component in emission control. It is also the most restrictive component of an exhaust. Sports Catalysts increase the gas flow while maintaining filtration rates. Cecat systems simply replace the catalyst altogether for the ultimate flow rate.
Resonated/ Non Resonated Resonators are box chambers incorporated into the exhaust system, which are used to make the exhaust quieter, by cancelling certain sound frequencies. A non-resonated exhaust system will therefore, give a louder exhaust note with a little drone and a resonated exhaust system, a quieter exhaust note. Either option will still provide extra performance and an enhanced sound compared to the original equipment exhaust.
Downpipes Turbo charged engines need to be able to breathe; to assist this a range of turbo down pipes have been developed to suit high powered turbo applications.
X-Pipe allows the exhaust to flow down the path of least resistance. At lower revs, turbulence is formed as exhaust gases try to shuffle past a second column of gases coming from the other side. While always producing more power than the restrictive factory system, the potential gains are not seen until higher rpms are reached. This is where an X-Pipe stands apart from the rest. Exhaust gas is pushed out harder as the engine spins faster. The X-Pipe merges this chaos into two uniform streams,allowing a motth flow from engine to tailpipe.
